English term

possible

Non-PRO English Medical Other
[Conclusion]
It could be concluded that the education evaluation table we proposed, was usable. Moreover, although acupuncture schools have various evaluation methods for electroacupuncture in basic clinical training, there were no differences between the three groups, so that it is suggested that there is a possibility of standardizing the evaluation method.

Is it better to change the last part as follwos?
it is suggested that standardizing the evaluation method is possible.

I feel that possibility indicates lower possibility than to be possible.

Thank you for your comments. They were very useful.

This may be out of the realm of this English to English kudos space, but it's the cultural thing to express things very indirectly in high context cultures such as Japan. The author may even want to say that the evaluation method should be standardized. But expressing it directly is culturally impolite among Japanese. Hence, the author even used "It could be concluded" to indirectly convey the message, which may be hard to grasp, but for those in the culture, the meaning is understood... http://daily.unitedlanguagegroup.com/stories/editorials/comm...

@Phil I agree. However there is also the problem of the meaning itself not being very clear, e.g. the use of the conditional in "It could be concluded" implies uncertainty about whether that conclusion could be drawn. Is this deliberate or due to poor use of English?

Agree I agree with Phil's rewording. The whole paragraph needs editing.

The English is not very well written or easy to understand. Also, it switches back and forth between the active and passive, as research reports sometimes do, which makes it even more confusing. I think the last sentence means "We suggest that the evaluation method be standardised".

the evaluation method may/can be standardized

You can simply use "may" or "can" to show that the standardization is possible. Although I am not a native speaker, I have reworded your paragraph as below so that it will be easier for your native checker to work on. Since I don't quite understand the situation regarding the second half of the paragraph, I couldn't make it shorter, though. (I also had to assume a lot of things that were not clear.)

Our proposed education evaluation table may be valid for actual use. Moreover, the evaluation method may be standardized as no significant differences were observed among the three groups in spite of varying evaluation methods employed by the acupuncture schools for evaluating students' electroacupuncture administration in their basic clinical training.
