Bowie describes the sound of REALITY as “built to play live” and, more intriguingly, as being “a bit thrusty.”
Can anyone help me out with the meaning of "thrusty"?

From reading the snippets of the quote, I guess he could also mean: a little bit more energy-driven (energetic), guitar-based, rock-focused...

strong beat
We're talking about an album here.
Without hearing the music it is hard to say. But from what I've read he probably means it's a big sound, strong pumping beat, plenty of noise etc to get people off their backsides if it was played live. Thrust + y = thrusty: a made-up word, but not much different from thrust except it has been turned into a adjective.

By the way, the writer puts \"intriguingly\" because he\'s not too sure what that means either!

Oh yes and there might/may (is there really a difference in probability between the two words?) be a sexual connotation here too!

: I am intrigued! Maybe we all ought to catch the 'Reality' tour (apart from the fact that it seems to have sold out)..

yes I used to be a huge fan of Bowie when he was still making interesting music and before he brought out his own credit card!
