Evidently, this is a term frequently used in reference to nipples showing through clothing - google it ~ it is surprising.
I have no idea what 'nipple pokey in hospital' could mean ~ HTH

: I do hope David will check back in here - I was unsuccessful at finding the use of the word 'pokey' with regard to breastfeeding, which it must be, if the hospital reference is literal. I am glad you found this!
