Producing the initial stage where all signs and symptoms disappear the following stage of treatment
When all signs and symptoms of leukemia disappear, we say that the patient is in remission. That does not mean that the patient has been cured. Depending on the nature of the disease and the treatment regimen, there may follow other treatment components to fortify or solidigy the benefits of the first stage of treatment. This is called consolidation.
