position of as soon as possible in a sentence

I´d like to know which of these sentences is correct or if they´re both correct. "Please let m know as soon as possible if you can come because I need to buy the tickets. OR : Please let me know if you can come as soon as possible because I need to buy the tickets.

Both are correct, but they have a different meaning.

1) the speaker wants to be informed quickly if his/her interlocutor can come...
2) the speaker wants to know if his/her intelocutor can come quickly...

agree Alexander C. Thomson : Absolutely right. Always remember, adverbs / adverbial phrases of time are placed immediately after what they qualify, and it’s no problem (unlike in many other languages) for that to be right at the end of the main clause.
