Italian chair maker
I have a straight chair made in Italy with trademark from left to right of S in a box, then a picture of a lion making a chair in a box and an L in a box. I need to know what is the name of the company who uses this trademark, logo, registration? They also have another mark on the chair that is a very large S with the letters v, p on top and n, t on the bottom inside the loop parts of the S. If you can help me find out the name of this company, that would help me. Thank you.

The mark may be that of the company that sold the chair, rather than that of the maker. I suggest that because the same mark is described here, referring to a vintage milk pitcher:

SOLD Large Sponge Ware Cobalt Milk Pitcher Vintage

This is a large sponge ware pitcher with a beautiful cobalt blue pattern on a creamy ivory base. Possibly a Stangyl piece. It's 9" in height and 4 3/4" in diameter at the base. It's marked under the glaze "S" with initials inside the S "V P N T". It's in excellent condition and lends a country accent to any table setting.
Googling 'Stangyl' reveals nothing relevant...

Of course, the above comments refer to the second mark described by Mary. The first is, in my view, more likely to the the manufacturer's mark.
