English term

return transfer

English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) return transfer from any new accommodation taken by any guests wishing to move from the paid and selected participating hotels
The selected participating hotels will not accept any unruly behavior at any time and the event organizer will in no way be responsible for the re-allocating of any guests that has been evicted from or deemed non grata by the hotel management and staff.This includes the return transfer from any new accommodation taken by any guests wishing to move from the paid and selected participating hotels.

( Actually, I need to understand the last sentence)

Thank u in advance.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

David Moore (X) Jan 29, 2013:
Not "to and from"... But "back".

I think the chosen answer needs to be re-examined. I read the text submitted to mean that the guests who chose to take accommodation other than that originally allocated, and who were subsequently 'evicted from or deemed non-grata' by those (new) hotels, no longer have any claim to be accommodated at the original hotels.

And that doesn't IMO mean transfer to AND FROM, but back...And here it's not necessarily a taxi transfer, but just a transfer of the person(s) from one hotel to another.

Having said that, the wording in the text submitted certainly needs to be clarified, and think the asker should have gone back to the customer, as this could cause problems if wrong.

transfer to and from

Basically if a hotel guest moves to a different hotel, for whatever reason, the organizer will not pay for the transfer to and from the new hotel, as it is not one of the selected participating hotels.

'Transfer' here would mean transport by taxi for example.

thank you Mark
agree Sheila Wilson : I think it would be excluded even if the second hotel were one of the participating group - they will only get the transfers that were originally agreed to

disagree David Moore (X) : I suspect the wrong interpretation has been put on the source text - although it's easy to see why...

transfer to (the airport)

Return transfer from the new accomodation means pick up at the new accomodation and transfer to the airport (or whatever other location: bus station, harbour etc.) so the event organizer will not be responsible for this transfer.
Peer comment(s):

disagree David Moore (X) : I think the 'reading between the lines' has rather come off the rails here - ther's no suggestion at all of transport here, is there...
