Blended Family

English to Vietnamese Other Other Sociology: Family Composition
This request is for my own personal use first and professional use second.

I am in a situation where I have 4 daughters from a previous marriage and 1 son from my current marriage.

At times my 5 children live as part of the family' of one of their non-biological "parents", i.e. one of my Australian daughters lives with me here in Vietnam, or my son (Vietnamese mother) lives with his half-sisters in Australia.

The general term used for this situation in Australian Culture is a "Blended family". I am very interested in what my peers think is a suitable translation for my Vietnamese family, who meet my girls from Australia and must accept them into the family, and vice versa.

No English Sorry, I should have explained that my Vietnamese family can speak no English, and my Australian children can speak no Vietnamese ... although both sides are starting to acquire some simple and basic language from the other's first language.

Thông thường thì người Việt Nam nói như vậy. Nếu nói với ý không được tích cực lắm thì nói là "gia đình có con anh con em con chúng ta".
