Mobile Harbour Crane
Éste es el párrafo: "BE AWARE that the crane possesses the additional risk of the machinery house moving whilst in the skew motion".
Contexto:
8.8.3 Access to the crane driver’s cab / change over procedures
NEVER attempt to board the mobile harbour crane until the driver has confirmed he has stopped.
BE AWARE that the crane possesses the additional risk of the machinery house moving whilst in the skew motion.
Access to the crane SHALL ONLY BE MADE from the ground cab end of the machine. Verbal contact with the crane driver MUST BE MADE via radio or the intercom in the ground cab station to advise that access is required to the crane.
The machinery house must be stationary, i.e. not rotating, BEFORE accessing onto the crane and along the access walkway to the machinery house.
The crane driver must locate the slew pin prior to anyone accessing onto the crane.
The crane driver must slew the crane round such that the cab is facing the ground cab position, and visual contact be established to confirm that it is safe for personnel to access onto the crane.
Once on the crane personnel should advise the crane driver that they are safely on the machine.
Crane drivers shall change over at ground level.
Care shall be exercised when ascending and descending the access stairway to and from the crane cab. It should be noted that the manufacturer’s recommendation is that descent of the stairs should be made backwards.
