Saludos.

tiende a ser grande

This term is not referring to the ability of an item of clothing to "expand", but the *tendency* for the prduct to be larger than the expected or stated size (grande, mediana, etc.):

"Buy one size down, *runs big*. Florence Eiseman. True to size or slightly small in bathing suits ... Uses European size charts so *runs big*, boy and girl."

"Keep in mind this is a general size chart. All clothing lines *run differently* ( o sea, 'tienen distintas tendencias'). Please refer to the chart below for recommendations on sizing particular brands. [http://upthehill.com/about/size.html]
Example sentence:

Based solely on customer response, this brand of t-shirts *runs big*. Thomas' Trackside Station is not responsible for return postage on clothing items if they do not fit.

Classic boot cut 5 pocket jean ... For example, if you are typically between sizes 6 and 8, then you should ... Note, this item *runs big*. You should size down.
