Transcribo contexto:
Some enterprising boatbuilders eyed ships built by the Dutch and the Basques, who had adopted the practice of erecting the skeleton of a boat's hull before planking it. These ships proved much stronger, more durable and easier to maintain. The new methods led to the English "dogger," an oceangoing vessel with two or three masts and high pointed bows that enabled it to breast steep head seas. A low stern made a good platform for fishing with lines and nets.
Gracias otra vez,
Silvia
