English term

Net Mineral Acre

Non-PRO English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Petroleum Eng/Sci Mineral Leasing
Hi All,

I'm translating a text about a mineral lease in a town and it explains the benefits for the land owners, it says that they will receive $1000 per net mineral acre, could it be "$1000 por acres de mineral neto"? Net is refering to mineral? This option in Spanish appears only once in Google.

Thanks!

Belén
Proposed translations (Spanish)
4 acres netos (de derechos minerales)

I agree with you re the use of acre in singular. However, I do not think there is any ambiguity here. Net in this context refers only to acre. Net (mineral) acreage gives a measure of the mineral interest of each landowner in a shared property.

I think your translation is fine except $1000 por acre de mineral neto, with acre in the singular. The neto could refer to either acre or mineral in both languages so preserve the ambiguity.

neutral FVS (X) : No, this should be singular, XX per acre.

Gracias.
