(servicio de) doble línea

Some times in one same document you have to translate "call on hold" and "call waiting". To establish a difference I would use "llamada en espera" and "servicio de doble línea" respectively.

Diccionario de telecomunicaciones (Lazo-Ardois)

This is directly from this telecommunications dictionary, and its literal translation would be \"call on hold\" which is what it is, of course.
