English term or phrase:
Rickety Kate (short form of Catherine)
Spanish translation:
Cati la raquítica
English term
Rickety Kate (short form of Catherine)
The first one is "Rickety Kate." "Kate" is evidently short for Catherine. "Rickety" is a play both on Ricci and her "rickety" condition because of all she was suffering. I understand an equivalent in Spanish might not be able to capture all these nuances, but hopefully it could at least come close.
Here's the original context:
Catherine of Siena had lots of exotic followers in subsequent generations such as St Catherine de Ricci (“Rickety Kate”). Kate was a spiritual director who used to help people understand their troubles in life as a kind of battle in which we suffer with Christ but are ultimately consoled by him and his Mother. From twenty years of age she suffered the stigmata weekly, enduring every week the whole cycle of Christ’s wounds during his trial, torture and execution appearing on her body. Her heart broke with his. Kate had an intense mystical prayer life while still a young woman and a deep love for Christ’s compassionate heart.

En cualquier caso, si se incluye lo de raquítica, se entendería que realmente sufría de raquitismo, algo que ignoro profundamente.
