English to Spanish Social Sciences Names (personal, company) nickname / apodo, diminutivo

The document I am translating is by a Dominican where he talks about different Dominican saints, and jokingly gives each of them a nickname, or short form. I have not found any "official" version for them, so I guess I am free to use whatever sounds best in Spanish.

The first one is "Rickety Kate." "Kate" is evidently short for Catherine. "Rickety" is a play both on Ricci and her "rickety" condition because of all she was suffering. I understand an equivalent in Spanish might not be able to capture all these nuances, but hopefully it could at least come close.

Catherine of Siena had lots of exotic followers in subsequent generations such as St Catherine de Ricci (“Rickety Kate”). Kate was a spiritual director who used to help people understand their troubles in life as a kind of battle in which we suffer with Christ but are ultimately consoled by him and his Mother.
