El texto me habla de que el agua utilizada en procesos de lixiviacion es enviada a una planta de tratamientos de aguas industriales, y q luego de esto el agua es liberada al medio ambiente.
Mi pregunta es ¿Poising? que significa y el likely que funcion cumple? En fin como puedo traducir esa frase

Entonces recomiendo que cambiéis la entrada... ...del glosario por provocarando, para que no quede "ver explicación" como traducción de "posing" y para concordar el tiempo verbal ;-)

"Luego el agua es liberada al medio ambiente, donde probablemente dará pie a un problema de contaminación de las aguas."

Normalmente, "posing" se utiliza con palabras como "problem", "question" o "issue", y tiene el significado de "plantear". Sin embargo, en este caso creo que suena mejor decir simplemente "dar pie a"/"originar"/"causar"/"provocar" o un verbo similar.

Creo que funciona aún mejor con "provocar":

"Luego el agua es liberada al medio ambiente, donde probablemente provocará un problema de contaminación de las aguas."
