English term
Third (party)
English to Spanish
Law/Patents
Medical (general)
Restrict PHI
I know third party is "terceros" at least in Mexico and most of the end readers are of Mexican origin.
.....request restrictions on whether your protected health information (PHI) is disclosed or shared with your health plan or other third party insurance carriers but information will continue to be shared with your provider...
If we already used the term insurance carrier, why the term third party.
I feel this is redundant or am I misreading this sentence. Como encaja "terceros" con compaia de seguro.
Thank you in advance.

con otras compañías aseguradoras
creo que con "otras" se transmite el sentido de "terceras" y las "partes" serían las aseguradoras.

Comment: "Though ALL answers could be used, I believe for the "end reader, this would be the better understanding option. Wish I would issue points to everybody that took the time to view and offer an option. thank you ALL. "

independientes/no relacionadas
meaning those insurance carriers are not related in any way to them.

Terceros
In some case you might have multiple insurers involved, a primary, like your personal insurance through an employer, and maybe a secondary, Medicaid, or a supplemental insurance than you pay for yourself. In other words, there are scenarios where the wording of your document may not be redundant, even though it sounds that way at fist blush.

Note from asker:
So, how exactly would the translation be like: "compania de seguros terceros". I have to integrate "insurance company" with "third party". I am very confused. |
