Heart Disease, as in I have heart disease, the risks for heart disease are, etc.
The original translator uses the term ´´la enfermedad cardiovascular´´, however it seems the correct use would be ´´enfermedad cardiaca´´
Ex:
La enfermedad cardiovascular es la principal causa de muerte en las mujeres.
Should be
Enfermedades cardiacas son la principal causa...

Según la World Health Organization, "cardiovascular disease" es el término que engloba todos los trastornos del corazón y los vasos sanguíneos. La American Heart Association, por su parte, define "cardiovascular disease" como sinónimo de "heart disease", y este uso indiferenciado quizá puede crear confusiones sobre el significado de cada término y sus respectivas traducciones.
En español, en el sitio de la OMS, se habla de "enfermedades cardiovasculares" para referirse a todas las enfermedades del corazón y los vasos sanguíneos. Lo mismo pasa en el sitio de la Organización Panamericana de la Salud, y en el sitio del Ministerio de Salud de Argentina se explica también esta cuestión.
Creo, entonces, que "enfermedad cardiovascular" es el término correcto para referirse a las enfermedades tanto del corazón como de los vasos sanguíneos, que pueden comprometer al corazón o bien a otros órganos (el cerebro, los miembros superiores e inferiores, etc.).
Por eso, si en el texto original que se está traduciendo se habla de enfermedades del corazón o de los vasos sanguíneos, creo que "enfermedad cardiovascular" es una traducción correcta.
