Cristina Si. y bon anit desde Santillana del Mar en Cantabria, donde ocupo plaza 23 en el camping de 400 plazas de las cuales 399 son vacias.
Cristina Talavera Feb 16, 2011:
Yes, Boston Legal was extraordinary. And I might add the American was superb.
Bill Harrison (X) Feb 16, 2011:
And the sad thing is that English is now becoming corrupted by American. Mainly due to the box, although in recent years you have come up with some great series like Boston Legal, which I thought was wonderful.
Bill Harrison (X) Feb 16, 2011:
Henry I do call it American a lot. We understand each other to a point but then we get lost.
Cristina Talavera Feb 16, 2011:
AAAyyy Bill....bueno es tarde aquí en el norte de África, como dirían algunos, así que hasta mañana!
Cristina Talavera Feb 16, 2011:
one of them being making American greater than British...
Henry Hinds Feb 16, 2011:
American We're actually quite proud not to speak English, you can call our language "American". After all, we invented it.
Bill Harrison (X) Feb 16, 2011:
Cristina Ah, gotcha. As I say I don't drink tea so it can rot at the bottom of Boston harbor as far as I am concerned, but the dreadful things Americans have done to my native language really make me want to give it a name other than English, which as far as I am concerned it most certainly is not.
Cristina Talavera Feb 16, 2011:
tea thrown overboard in Boston...and yes of course bids can be/will/might be invalid if "conditions" are not upheld; it can be anything from the road needs to be paved before work begins to my significant other will occupy the corner office during the first 2 years of business, etc.
Bill Harrison (X) Feb 16, 2011:
Claudia... Don't think so. It would be perfectly normal to say bids will be invalid if the correct documents are not included. Almost standard in fact.
Bill Harrison (X) Feb 16, 2011:
Cristina? Eh?? I don't drink tea so would never spill any. Enlighten me......
Cristina Talavera Feb 16, 2011:
Bill...still upset about spilled tea, are we?
Claudia Brauer Feb 16, 2011:
I think "invalid" would be a stretch... to make a bid invalid you really need a whole amount of things, not just the inclusion/exclusion of certain documents. They form part of the bid in that they are required as a condition of the bid, but I don't think their absence would invalidate the bid, it would just have the party that did not comply be in a certain position of lack of compliance, which might or might not be allowed to be corrected. I've seen it happen before.
Bill Harrison (X) Feb 16, 2011:
I can't decide... whether it means
1. the bid will be invalid without these documents, or
2. the documents will form part of the bid.
