English term

made by resolution

English to Spanish Law/Patents Business/Commerce (general) Corporations
Hello!

Could you please help me find a good equivalent in Spanish for Latin America for this phrase? It is from a UK registration certificate:

The Registrar of Companies for England and Wales hereby certifies that ZZZ (originally called TTT changed its name on 16th June 1983 to YYY which was changed on 12th February 1992 to XXX LIMITED which was changed on 24th August 1999 to VVV which was changed on 30th October 2006 to UUU each change having been made by resolution) was incorporated under the Companies Acts 1948 to 1981 as a limited company on 21st June 1982.

Thank you all very much!

Regards,

Mariela

I know! I made a mistake while grading and then the question was closed without the possibility for me to correct. I have already sent a support request. Hope they get back to me soon!
FVS (X) Mar 29, 2011:
As an English lawyer of 40 years standing I have to say that you have selected an answer which is unequivocally wrong. No judicial decision here I can assure you.
FVS (X) Mar 16, 2011:
Mariela Yes, of course, it refers to resolution of the general meeting. Nothing to do with judicial. I am quite certain of this.
Mariela Malanij (asker) Mar 16, 2011:
As this is a limited company with several partners from UK, I am more inclined to think the name change must be approved by the shareholders' meeting rather than the courts and hence the term "resolution" as in a written motion adopted by a deliberative body. What do you think?

disagree FVS (X) : Nope. As an English lawyer I can assure you that this is totally wrong.
