Use only grease, which does not react with oxygen, for example Klüber Barrierta.
Prior to installation, check the seal for any damage which may have occurred during transportation.
Follow the installation instructions of the pump.
Before starting the installation work, you have to make sure, that the seal will work by pushing the static sealing rings against the spring force.
Place the seal carefully on a clean and flat surface covered with a clean and soft cloth.
Cover the sliding face with the cloth and press it couple of times to get the sealing ring to move.
Do this also to the sealing ring in the other end of the seal.
For pressing you need about 60‑70 kg (135 lb) weight.
Installation
Pump MCA and MCF:
Push the atmospheric side seat ring with the drive ring on the shaft against the shaft shoulder so, that the **sword bar** goes in to the groove on the shaft.
Pump MCE:
Push the atmospheric side seat ring on the shaft against the shaft shoulder so, that the sword bargoes in to the groove on the shaft.
Push the static part of the seal into the casing cover of the pump so that the drive pin on the seal body goes into the hole in casing cover.
Fasten the seal body with flange.
Fasten the casing cover (including the static parts of the seal) to the bearing unit.
