English to Russian Medical Medical: Cardiology

Echocardiogram
Exam Duration:
This will vary from 30- 40 minutes.
Patient Preparation
Patient Position:
Left lateral recumbent position or in a position that permits optimal imaging
ECG:
All patients must have a 3-lead ECG
Breathing Technique:
Quiet Respiration during image acquisition
Minimum Cardiac Cycles
Acquire at least 3 cardiac cycles for 2-dimensional imaging (2D)
If arrhythmia is present, additional beats/loops will be required
Acquire at least 5 envelopes for spectral pulsed wave (PW) and continuous wave (CW) Doppler.
If arrhythmia is present, additional beats/loops will be required
Each subject’s Doppler tracings should be performed using same depths and settings serially throughout the study
Velocity scale should be optimized or lowered so the flow waveform fills the spectral display.
