English term

take a hit on price

English to Russian Tech/Engineering IT (Information Technology)
ShoreTel was the only vendor to supply and price two systems, for scaling and high availability, and we give the company props for that. ShoreTel says one of its strengths is in managing multiple systems in multiple locations; this wasn't a requirement for our one-office scenario, but ShoreTel decided to ***take a hit on price*** by sending us two boxes so we could test how easy the management GUI made it to monitor and configure multiple appliances

take a hit - "пропустить удар", "получить попадание"

Похоже, сознательно пошли на проигрыш в деньгах.
