Currency swaps (валютные свопы)
These contracts allow a Fund to gain or manage exposures to various currencies.

Equity swaps (свопы на акции)
Equity swaps could be used to enable the Fund to gain exposure to equity securities of securities with equity characteristics.

Question:
What is the meaning of "gain exposure to"? "I gain exposure to stock market." means "I have some experience in stock market"? Can we say "gain some exposure to"? Thank you in advance!

Answer:
Yes, 'gain exposure to [something]' can mean that you have some experience with it. Your sentence should be: "I gained exposure to stock market", if you mean that you have some experience with it, because when you have experience you are talking about something you experienced in the past. I would expect the sentence to include information about how you 'gained exposure'. Please tell us more about the situation you are describing. How did you 'gain exposure'? What were you doing? That will help us know whether the phrase fits what you have in mind.
