În cricket (din câte ştiu eu) s-au preluat termenii în engleză datorită popularităţii reduse a acestui sport la noi.
Cât despre cele două echipe/tipuri de jucători:
the bowler - aruncă mingea de cricket (cu mâna) şi este apoi lovită (hopefully) de batsman (cel cu bâta).
the fielder - cel care recuperează mingea de pe teren
(Seamana oarecum cu rolurile de la baseball).

by running between the
wickets or hitting the
ball over the boundary.
The fielding side may
dismiss the batsmen in
several ways, including
