English term

right honorable

English to Romanian Art/Literary Poetry & Literature Shakespeare
Are cineva traducerea dedicatiei de la inceputul poemului Venus si Adonis?
Right Honourable, I know not how I shall offend in dedicating my unpolished lines to your Lordship, nor how the world will censure me for choosing so strong a prop to support so weak a burden, only if your Honour seeme but pleased, I account my selfe highly praised, and vow to take advantage of all idle hours, till I have honoured you with some graver labour. But if the first heir of my invention prove deformed, I shall be sorry it had so noble a god-father: and never after ear so barren a land, for feare it yield me still so bad a harvest
Multumesc anticipat

Preacinstite

Peer comment(s):

prea'naltate, prea onorabile (fiindca e Lord)

De fapt, in functie de "grad", exista o ierarhie a adresarilor: inaltime(a ta/voastra), prea 'naltate, prea-onorate. Hope this helps point u 2 a source of further wisdom...
