"IPSAS 3 does not use the term income, which in IAS 8 has a broader meaning than the term revenue".

Nu prea îmi dau seama cum aş putea să diferenţiez în traducere, pentru că ambele se referă la "venit" din câte ştiu eu.

Am găsit o explicaţie destul de amplă a diferenţei între cele două http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7477449/
Dar în articolul respectiv e chiar invers de cum zice textul meu, termenul "revenue" ar fi cel cu sens mai larg.

revenue versus income conform webster's dictionary:
income= whatever is received as gain, e.g. wages or salary, receipts from business, dividends from investments, etc.
revenue= return from investments, property, etc./pl=annual or periodic income e.g. from taxes, customs and exercise, etc. collected by a government, state, etc. for public use
si pe mine m-a chinut dilema asta.

eu as incerca sa fac diferenta luandu-l pe income ca venit obisnuit iar pe revenue ca venit global (cum bine a sugerat Corina Cristea) in sensul de beneficiu total, mergand chiar pana la profit (desi stiu ca ar putea fi usor fortat)

e nevoie de doi termeni in limba română, care să corespundă lui ”income” și lui ”revenue”. conform dicționarului, revenue se referă la ”cifra de afaceri/ profit brut”, iar income la ”profitul net”, însă, într-adevăr, contextul tău este puțin derutant.
