Field Remedy: 1318 Subject: Electric fuel pump - Engine stalls Removal of electric fuel pump:
1. Disconnect wiring harness plug (Pic. I, 2) from
maintenance opening lock lid.
2. Mark fuel lines (Pic. I, 1) and remove them with KM-796.
3. Close fuel lines with closure plugs KM-807.
4. Release locking ring for maintenance opening lock lid with
KM-797 (Pic. II, 3).
5. Carefully pull maintenance opening lock lid upwards - at the
same time note cable and hose connections.
6. Remove wiring harness plug for electric fuel pump (Pic. III,
5) and fuel sensor (Pic. III, 6) from maintenance opening
lock lid.
7. Detach fuel supply hose (Pic. III, 4) from maintenance
opening lock lid.
