This sentence could be rephrased in a nomber of ways other than as the sentence translation given by 'daisuke' I agreed above.

Scott is a male name, and if he's someone that's as young as a teenager, he could name him "boku", but still "watashi" would be acceptable, while I guess the suitability should depend on the situation. A groiwn-up man could have no problem in calling himself "boku" to his friends or collegues. In a more fromal setting, he would be expected to call him "watachi", though. Also, this "Hello" in the sentence may have a connotation to an English greeting "How do you so?" at the first meeting between people, so I suggested a translation corresdponding to this phrase. However, anyway, you could make your best choice depending on how and where you use this phrase to your friends, collegues, etc.

This is a more formal version of "** to iimasu," and "hajimemashite" is hello when one introduces oneself. As it is an introduction here, I'd personally tend to use the more formal version especially where it's a business situation or something "stiff" like that. On the other hand, if it were a young guy, say, meeting his host parents for the first time (as opposed to a client or potential employer) I'd say "** to iimasu" or even "skotto desu" would be better (see the others' answers for these).

If one is talking to a group of people, then「やぁ皆さんどうも、私はスコットです」would sound more like it.

the above is semi-formal often times used to introduce yourself to new collegues at work or anyone new to you.
There are more formal or more casual way of introducing yourself depending on the situation.
