English term

polyortho esters

English to Japanese Other Medical: Pharmaceuticals pharmaceutical
I need to know Japanese expression of this compound. Right now my solution is all in Katakana, but not sure. Full sentense is: Synthetic polymers are commonly used for tissue engineering applications and include poly (a -hydroxy acids [e.g., polylactic acid (PLA), polyglycolic acid (PGA)], poly (ortho esters), polyurethanes and hydrogels [e.g., polyhydroxyethylmethacrylate or polyethylene oxide/polypropylene oxide copolymer]. And my translation is: 合成ポリマーは組織工学的用途では一般的に利用されており、ポリヒドロキシ酸(ポリ乳酸(PLA)、ポリグリコール酸(PGA)等)、ポリ(オルト・エステル)、ポリウレタン、ヒドロゲル(ポリハイドロキシエチルメタクリレートあるいはポリエチレンオキシド/ポリプロピレン・オキサイド・コポリマー)等がある。

The translation seems almost okay. "polyhydroxyethylmethacrylate" (PHEMA) can be "ポリハイドロキシエチルメタクリレート" or "ポリヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート", and the latter seems to be more frequently used. (In fact, you're translating "hydrogel" as "ヒドロゲル", and there should be some consistency for the translation of "hydro-".) "polypropylene oxide copolymer" is either "ポリプロピレンオキサイドコポリマー" or "ポリプロピレンオキサイド共重合体".

In addition, "等がある" is not found in the translation. It should be "ポリウレタンおよびヒドロゲル(...)がある".
