For all units found with cable cracks, XXX recommends installing the neoprene wrapped steel zip ties every three meters throughout the affected towers to eliminate cable sagging and further crack propagation.

Each trefoil bundle is secured to the cable tray via two cable clamps at the top of each tower section and nylon zip ties that are installed in an “X” pattern every one meter throughout the tower.

The nylon zip ties also provide cable support in the event of a short circuit event.

During routine maintenance cracking was found on some turbines at the external cable jacket of the power cables at the zip tie/cable tray interface
