edit queries

English to Italian Law/Patents
Qualcuno sa dirmi che cosa sono di preciso queste "edit queries" ?
Il contesto è un contratto, ma non credo che dia indicazioni. La frase si riferisce ad un pagamento da fare "upon receipt of all CFRa and resolution of edit queries".

Grazie!!!

A query is generally a proposal/ request to do something.

In a very general sense, "to edit" something means "to change". Without more context, I would say that "edit queries" are probably "proposals to change/alter" the contract. (Later I could give you a more complete answer.)

proposte/richieste per emendare/ modificare (il contratto)

My understanding of "edit queries" is that they would be "inquiries for revision" / "proposte /richieste per modificare/ emendare " (il contratto). According to Webster's Dictionary, "to edit" means "1. to prepare for publication by selection, arrangement and annotation; 2. to revise and make ready; 3. to govern the policy of (a newspaper or periodical); decide what is to be printed, etc." A "query" is "1. question; a point to be answered or solved; an inquiry. 2. doubt." You didn't ask, but, I'm not sure what CFRa would be, especially in this context. "CFR" in law means "Code of Federal Regulations". "CF" can mean "cost and freight". Neither abbreviation seems relevant in the context above. I hope this helps. Good luck!
