In the centre of that voluminous room on Ironmonger Row are piles and piles of stuff. Papers, promos, proofs, prints, pornography, pamphlets, paintings... This is just the Ps of course. On entering this space you can immediately see or sense most everything that constitutes the Saville/Blessman universe. I'm not sure that much more is actually gained by a lengthier ***root*** within. It is not a coincidence that Peter Saville's iconic first LP design back in 1979 packaged a work of art smartly divided into an "Inside" and an "Outside". They were both, of course, equally interesting.

Due proposte, anche se direi che il termine "background" potrebbe essere più appropriato. Altrimenti potresti usare "origine"

visto che si tratta dell'universo che lui ha costruito, si potrebbe usare anche genesi (più profonda) come variante ma in italiano se avesse radici più profonde suona bene per quanto io possa giudicare
