Come si potrebbe tradurre bolter in italiano? Da quello che mi sembra di capire dalle immagini su internet, dovrebbe trattarsi di una macchina utilizzata per lavori in miniera. Purtroppo non c'è contesto. Si tratta di un elenco di termini, cable bolter è seguito da "scissor bolters" e da "boom bolters". Grazie mille.

Si trova anche "bullonatrice per tetto", dove per tetto si intende il soffitto della miniera.

Se vedi http://www.directindustry.it/fabbricante-industriale/bullona... la prima bullonatrice della Maclean è un scissor bolter perché ha un elevatore a forbice o a pantografo, mentre la terza, della Atlas Copco, è una bullonatrice a braccio. Molte sono anche perforatrici (come nell'esempio riportato da Valeria), e possono avere 1, 2 o 3 bracci.
Per le altre due io metterei bullonatrice con elevatore a pantografo e bullonatrice a braccio (se non è specificato altro).

The cable-bolter can insert three types
of steel cable. Depending on your
application you can choose between
center hose cable (type1), regular steel
cable (type2), or birdcage cable (type3).
The cable-bolter is the only machine on
the market that can use all three types
without extensive modifications.

This equipment inserts a steel cable, and grout
into a pre-drilled hole to stabilise tunnel roofs or
hanging walls, up to a borehole depth of 40
metres. The Cable Bolter unit operates through a
boom, which positions a hose and cable feeder at
a predrilled hole. The hole is then filled with
grout, through an inserted hose, and a steel
cable, which is pushed in and cut by the feeder.
The grout is mixed on the unit and fed into the
grout pump, which pumps the grout into the
hole. There are two different ways of carrying out
cable bolting. One is called the Malmberget
method and the other the Kiruna method.

| Ciao, grazie per la risposta. In effetti, non si tratta di una sega ma di un macchina piuttosto grande (credo li chiamino carri o jumbo). Mi servirebbe la traduzione in italiano di "bolter" in questo contesto. Per il momento ho usato "bullonatore", ma non sono sicura. Rimango in attesa di una conferma o una traduzione migliore. |
