חול שהוקנו לו תכונות נוזל

It's not that ellegant, but:
I really don't like using new words like מונזל unless they become REALLY common and widespread in the field.
מונזל IS used for liquidated GAS, but I couldn't really find it used on the web for fluidized solid parts like sand.

See this source:
http://www.epa.gov/OCEPAterms/fterms.html

A mass of solid particles that is made to flow like a liquid by injection of water or gas is said to have been *fluidized*. In water treatment, a bed of filter media is fluidized by backwashing water through the filter.

It seems that Amnon is right, but since water is commonly used in the process - Doron is not that wrong either.

אולי לא הכי מדויק מבחינה מדעית, אבל כאן מדובר בתוכנית טלוויזיה, ובתיאור שנועד להמונים...
Peer comment(s):

neutral Ron Armon : I agree with Amnon's comment to Doron about the meaning - see source below, but Doron has a point here - it should be sharp and short and reach a wide audience

חול רטוב / חול מורעד / חול מותז

Please view attached Youtube video.
There are three possible meanings of "fludized sand".

1. The form in the video - sand "bubbled" by gas.
- In this case, the sand would be: חול מורעד.

Do the guys from Smash Lab create "instant" sand with bubbles to stop cars? i assume not, but if they do that in the show, then it's חול מורעד. Even "Bubbly sand" (= חול מבעבע), if that's EXACTLY what they created there.

2. Sand as it is being "sprayed" from a sand machine, used for industrial cleaning etc., thus behaving like a fluid.
- In this case, the sand would be: חול מותז.

If what they do there is "spraying" the sand from sand machines, (which could create an instant barrier, but probably couldn't act as quicksand) then it's חול מותז.

3. The 3rd way is sand so wet that it acts like quicksand (which is by definition extremely wet sand that a person, aminal or object can drown in).
- In this case, the sand would be: חול רטוב.

So if what they do in the episode is block a road with wet wet sand,
your choice would be חול רטוב. BTW this one would be my guess...

Now, my dear, only you can tell us, according to what ACTUALLY happens on the show, which of the three occurs.
(assuming you got to watch it)
