"It’s too late", she said aloud to the long grass and rich sharp evening shadows; to the distant hill, a strange, thrusting, irregular shape, that seemed sprung unevenly from some kind of pain. It was her Mont-Saint-Victoire. She had watched it in every mood and all weathers for over fifty-seven years.
Το thrust το ξέρω ως "προβάλλω, προεξέχω" αλλά και ως "εκτείνομαι". Ποια από τις δύο έννοιες ταιριάζει άραγε εδώ; Και σαν επίθετο; "προεξέχων" ή "εκτεταμένος";
Έπειτα έχουμε και το "sprung". Πάλι "ξεπροβάλλει"; "ξεφυτρώνει";
Please, help!
Το thrust το ξέρω ως "προβάλλω, προεξέχω" αλλά και ως "εκτείνομαι". Ποια από τις δύο έννοιες ταιριάζει άραγε εδώ; Και σαν επίθετο; "προεξέχων" ή "εκτεταμένος";

μακρόστενο σχήμα
"thrusting shape" είναι ας πούμε το σχήμα του κάκτου (ή κι ενός ουρανοξύστη). Όπως πολύ σωστά λες, προεξέχον.
Εδώ νομίζω ταιριάζει να το πεις και "μακρόστενο".

: Η οπτικοποίηση βοηθάει πάντα στην απόδοση! Συνεπώς, μπορείς να πεις κάτι σαν "προεξέχον"/"προεξέχων όγκος" για το πρώτο και "που ξεπρόβαλλε" για το δεύτερο.
