1.1 Outcomes and outcome measures in cancer care
Historically, the information given to support treatment (or no treatment) choices has mainly been based on hard clinical outcomes or indicators, such as:
Overall survival
Disease-free survival
Progression-free survival, and
Clinical benefit, i.e. complete response, partial response, or stable disease.
However, in order to fully understand the complexity of cancer burden, clinical outcomes need to be integrated with person-level outcomes or indicators that take into account patients’ experiences, preferences, and values.

Πιο συγκεκριμένα, τα πρώτα αναφέρονται σε συγκεκριμένα κλινικά αποτελέσματα που συνδέονται άμεσα με την ασθένεια, ενώ τα soft clinical outcomes αναφέρονται σε πιο υποκειμενικά στοιχεία που δεν συνδέονται άμεσα. σοβαρές κλινικές εκβάσεις
Είμαι σίγουρη για το clinical outcome. Υπάρχει και στο ΙΑΤΕ ως κλινική έκβαση και αυτό εννοεί και το κείμενο που παραθέτεις. Μάλλον το hard εννοεί σοβαρή :)
