English term

rinsed washed

Here's a link for "Buffys" (sogenannte!)

Sorry it's just a cached Google page, hope the link will work for you (the current page has since been updated).

Maybe someone else will be able to pinpoint the English word...

As Steffen W wrote the other day, Denglish rules!

Thanks Michele, I'm just waiting to see if there's a Buffy the Vampire Slayer connection now, otherwise that's definitely no Anglicism!

rinse wash(ed)

Is a style of finishing denim. See e.g.

"New, awesome fitting dark rinse wash jeans..."

I'd say sandblast is likewise a fabric finish.

Could Buffies be a brand name of plateau shoes? See e.g.

or

Deborah Shannon just discovered that Buffies are those permanent creases (Sitzfalten) in jeans! Here are a few more links:

agree CathyFS : Definitely a style of finishing denim. Sandblasted denim is another finish, very common at the moment, gives new denim (usually dark/navy blue) a trendy worn look (http://amos.catalogcity.com/cc.class/cc?a=a&pcd=3934302&ccsy...

was "buffies" sind - keine Ahnung

"rinsed-washed" = wassergespült

oder "rinsed,washed"= gewaschen, gespült

sandblast= Sandstrahlgebläse

pre-washed

Im Englischen wäre es "rinse washed". Sandblast bleibt "Sandblast". Buffies ist mir leider kein Begriff...
