English to German Medical Psychology cognitive ability testing

The context is this is in a word list test:

***If the patient repeats a word from the list which he has already said before, you need to find out whether he genuinely didn't remember he mentioned it before, or whether he used it as a way of self-cueing, i.e. "Let me see, I said 'tree' and 'house'... what else is there..."***

I understand what they mean thanks to the example, but I don't know if there is an specialist German term for this in psychology. The target audience are professionals in the field of psychology. Any ideas/suggestions would be most welcome!
