English term

framed

English to German Law/Patents Law (general)
The next day a California judge threw out the convictions of nine people after prosecutors said they were among at least 32 framed by a group of corrupt police officers within the LAPD.

Proposed translations (German)
2 denen ... angehängt wurden / angeschmiert

Ingeborg Gowans (X) May 3, 2007:
may I say, certainly the answer is fine, but normally Kudoz rules suggest you wait 24 hrss. before you grade a question so that other colleagues ahve a chance to contribute in any fashion; not meant as "sour grapes" :)
Ulrike Kraemer May 3, 2007:
It seems I was too hasty in squashing this question. I'm not allowed to edit questions, otherwise I would have edited yours instead of squashing it. My apologies. LB
Steffen Walter May 3, 2007:

- angeschmiert?
- Opfer einer von korrupten Polizisten gestellten Falle
