Mir fallen 2 Beispiele ein: Ein Sparkonto mit einer Anlagefrist von x Monaten wird vor Fristende aufgelöst oder ein Darlehen wird vorzeitig abgelöst.
Es hat nichts mit Zinsvorauszahlung zu tun, sonder soll die Bank für den erlittenen Zinsverlust entschädigen (penalty interest)

: Ist plausibler als mein Vorschlag. Bei dem Stichwort "Vorfälligkeit" fällt mir jedoch nur "prepayment" ein. Ich recherchiere noch ein bisschen...

Der Zins ist wegen Zahlung "vor Fälligkeit" geschuldet, nicht wegen der Vorfälligkeit, dies gilt sowohl für Terminguthaben, als auch umgekehrt für Darlehen, da sich die Bank bei Zahlung vor Fälligkeit anders (idR teurer) refanzieren muss.
