English term

sub-circumstance

English to German Tech/Engineering Computers: Systems, Networks Ethernet
User manual. Setting up an Ethernet network between computers and printers:

After Selecting the MAC address in “Board list”, and then Input IP Address, Subnet mask and Default Gateway (Check the user’s Sub-circumstance).

Any idea what they could mean with Sub-circumstance? Since the rest of this manual is not exactly written in perfect English, I assume they actually mean something else. But maybe it rings a bell with someone?

Thanks for any input.

subnet situation

I can guess like everyone else. Perhaps they just want to ensure that the default gateway IS the proper number, and for that you have to check if there is a gateway.

Sorry, sonst klingelt nichts.
