Offenheit

Google around on "Offenheit + Windows NT", and you'll find a wealth of hits.

Microsoft's glossaries show "Offenheitsgrad" (for Win NT and BizTalk Server), but IMHO, Offenheit all by itself would fit better into your context.

neutral Lars Helbig : I can only find pages that talk about the lack of openess of Windows-NT. Closed-source, propietary... The only time when anyone other the Microsoft salesmen call Windows-NT open is when they are talking about Security, Hackers and Viruses.

Offenheit

Ich würde hier Offenheit nehmen. Allerdings bin ich mir nicht so ganz sicher was den an Windows NT so offen seien soll. Hast du vielleicht noch ein wenig mehr Kontext oder zu mindestens die Namen von xx?

Openness can have many different meanings in relation to Operating systems. It can mean open-source, open-standards, high interoparability and compatability...
Windows-NT is not really famous for being open in any of these ways. That is why I am unsure about the translation.

neutral Aniello Scognamiglio (X) : You are suggesting the same term as Ulrike but you do not agree with her?

I agree with her. I arrived at the same term independantly after all. I just am less sure of it. And wondered about her confidence in a "wealth" of hits, that don't really support the suggesstion.
agree Harry Bornemann : Entweder ist es so gemeint - und betrifft z. B. die Ports - oder es ist ein "Marketing-Text" ;o)

"Zugang"

"Zugang" or "Offenheit "
The context suggests practical availability of the system; readiness to use; system with no hidden or vivid difficulties.
