Ich vermute mal, dass es hier um Fälle geht, in denen die gebildeten Pensionsrückstellungen höher waren als die (einmalige) Abfindung, die man (als Abgeltung) für den Verzicht auf einen Pensionsanspruch (bzw. die Übernahme der Pensionsverpflichtungen durch eine andere Institution, s. Bsp. unten) gezahlt hat. Diese Differenz stellt dann einen (außerordentlichen) Ertrag dar.
