Je ne parviens pas à trouver une formulation adéquate pour "pedal tone" dans la phrase ci-dessous. Il s'agit des commentaires d'un critique musical au sujet du nouvel enregistrement d'un ensemble vocal :
"... the men show off their buoyancy in X's arrangement, Y. Note the rock solid basso pedal tone, on which the melody soars."
X = nom d'un compositeur
Y = nom de la pièce dont il a réalisé l'arrangement
