This question refers to the health care system in the United States. The source text refers to the following scientific article: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26639639
Does anybody know how to translate "payer-mandated" or "payer mandates" into French? That would help me a lot!
Here are two examples where these words are used in the source text:
"Payer-Mandated Buprenorphine Dose Decreases Result in Worse Patient Outcomes"
"These data suggest that an arbitrary dose decrease imposed by payer mandates results in an increase in aberrant urine toxicology findings."

imposé par le tiers payant
the "payer" is a third party (neither the MD nor the patient) who is paying for the treatment; the closer I could think of in French is "le tiers payant"
