When recording a dubbed version of a movie/tv programme, the text is shown with "streamers and wipes" for the actor to read.
If I understand well, these "streamers"/"wipes" are lines shown on the screen to indicate synchronization, but I fail to find an appropriate French translation. Have heard of "bande rythmo" and "rouleau" but am not sure if these are the same things.

texte définant et volets
ce sont deux façons d'afficher du texte à l'écran. Dans la première le texte défile (Streams) sur l'écran (voir CNN par exemple) dans l'autre le texte est affiché immobile par ce qu'on appelle des volets (des formes d'affichage). Un volet chasse l'autre pour faire progresser le texte.

La bande rythmo est un peu la portée musicale que devront interpréter les comédiens-doubleurs. Il s'agit d'une pellicule transparente que l'on va projeter sur un écran en la synchronisant avec l'image.
