Now it might be argued that an 'erreur de concentricité' is an 'excentricité' - and indeed it is! But in some circumstances an 'excentricité' is desirable; look at the cam-shaft in a car engine, for example. In contrast an 'erreur de concentricité' is always ... an 'erreur', hence undesirable.
