Je vais effectivement recontacter le client.

Merci pour les infos !
Attila Piróth Feb 7, 2007:
Yes, Tony, that is a possibility, indeed - but then the text is a very sloppily edited. It should be checked with the client.
Tony M Feb 7, 2007:
You're right, Attila! The only way I can make sense of it is if "2" is not the number 2, but rather, some previously-defined variable very confusingly labelled as (2)
Attila Piróth Feb 7, 2007:
1.) the text should be understood as: the integer portion of [2 raised to the base-2 logarithm of ...] -- [2^(log_2 G)] which is just [G]!
2.) it should be understood as: [the integer portion of 2] [raised to the ...] -- [2]^(log_2 G) = 2^(log_2 G) = G.
Attila Piróth Feb 7, 2007:
Something is not OK here. Denoting the "integer portion (= integer part) of x" by [x], "x raised to the power a" by x^a, the "base-2 logarithm of z" by "log_2 z", and the gain by G, what do you have? There are two possibilities. (To be continued
