English term

own costs for attending

English to French Law/Patents General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Memorandum of Understandi
Each party shall be responsible for its own costs for attending the meetings of the Committee, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.

Chaque partie supportera les coûts qui lui incombent concernant les réunions du Comité, à moins que les parties n'en conviennent différemment par écrit.

Ai-je bien compris l'idée de ce petit bout de phrase ?

merci!
agree Tony M : or prend en charge.. ? (note that this is probably more the 'prescriptive' use of 'shall', rather than a pure future tense (which in the 3rd person would have been 'will')

English term (edited): shall be responsible for its own costs for attending

prend en charge les frais de sa participation

I just wanted to note that here it is the 'prescriptive' use of 'shall' — had it been a true future tense, it ought to have been 'will' (3rd person singular).

I most often see this rendered in FR by the simple present.

Otherwise, I suppose one might say: devra prendre en charge?
Peer comment(s):

agree Agnes T-H : Devra prendre en charge is perfect. I think you are the closest "Chaque soumissionnaire (it's a call to tenders, right?) devra prendre en charge les frais de sa participation aux réunions du comité"

Thanks, Agnes! I don't think it is actually a call for tenders, Asker has put 'Memorandum of Understanding'; but that needn't change this bit ;-)
agree AllegroTrans : Yes, good point re tenses; FR usually generally uses simple present in cases where EN uses future imperative
