English to French Other Fisheries

The main beneficiaries to improved management are:
1.Fishing fleets including:
•The indigenous fleets operating in the WIO from the WIO countries: These collectively account for under 5% of the catch and with 6,780 **fisher dependents**;
•Fifty-two purse seiners comprising 34 EU vessels, 13 from Seychelles, and 5 others, flagged in either Thailand or Iran. These collectively account for 40% of the catch with some 525 dependents;
•580 long liners from Taiwan, Japan, Republic of Korea and Spain, accounting for 20% of the catch with 16,500 dependents;
•Short range South Asian pole and line, gillnet and long line vessels and purse seine and long line (Indonesia) accounting for 32% of the catch with up to 70,000 **fisher dependents**.
